puzzles and activities
A great game for littles, memory match is fun and this one is super affordable at $5. It’s small, so it’s great for travel. We have this style, but the Mudpuppy brand also offers their Mini Memory Match game with cats, unicorns, princesses, “Little Feminist”s, dinosaurs, Eric Carle’s characters, outer space, and transportation, so you can choose the style your child will like best.
Puzzles are a great activity for problem-solving and motor skills. Mudpuppy’s Jumbo Puzzles are a great size for little hands. Levi has a space explorers one that he loves to complete. I especially enjoy how colorful and educational their puzzles are. They have a variety of styles, such as forest friends, construction site, Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and more.
These puzzle sticks are a great challenge for preschoolers! Each box contains enough sticks to create six separate puzzles. It is a compact box, so it’s great for traveling. It’s definitely a step above a regular puzzle!
This has been a staple bedtime book in our home. It’s a lovable, beautiful book that tells the story of different pieces of equipment preparing for bed. It helped Levi (and Mama) learn to identify different types of machines and their parts. It’s also available in a board book for especially little ones.
We loved Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site so much that we picked this one up, too. It celebrates cooperation and friendship and is especially great for little ones that love machines.
This book is fun and interactive for little hands. Each page has an action for the reader to do. Watch as the dots move and change throughout the text.
I just purchased this book for the kids because it is so beautiful, yet educational. This book takes a look at what’s happening in winter, as the title suggests, over and under the snow, as a little child skis through the woods with her father.
This sweet little board book is especially great for bonding with Daddy. Each page depicts how one dad in the animal kisses his little one, and ends with a great big kiss-fest from the reader’s own Daddy. It makes our kids squeal with delight every time.
